• While other crimes go down, the number of domestic violence cases goes up. From about 4,000 cases in 2008, the number has steadily climbed to 9,300 cases of intimate partner violence.

  • In Tennessee year 2017, there were 81 domestic violence murdered​

    • between 2009 and 2017, there were 836 domestic violence murders in Tennessee​​​

• Intimate partner violence accounts for 15% of all violent crime.

• 72% of all murder-suicides involved an intimart parnter: 94% of the victims of these crimes are females.
